Alan Steen, who took the reins as Executive Director to the 20,000-member National Cutting Horse Association in June, has resigned the position effective immediately.
"Alan was a great candidate for the position and did a lot in a short amount of time to raise the confidence of the NCHA member," said NCHA President Ernie Beutenmiller. "However, he indicated that for personal reasons he was unable to continue and we wish him the best in his future endeavors."
A search for a new Executive Director will begin immediately, as well, with a search committee to be named shortly.
