Texas, Wilderness Circuits send best to 2003 DNCFR
Jason Jeter took the 2002 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo by storm, winning the bareback riding average title with a record 839 points on 10 head.
Jeter continued that hot streak last weekend, winning the average title at the Texas Circuit Finals Rodeo. He scored 246 points on three head and earned a berth in the Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo, March 19-22 in Pocatello, Idaho.
Other winners from the Texas Circuit Finals Rodeo included Bradley Harter, saddle bronc riding, 238 points on three; Bryan Richardson, bull riding, 251 points on three; Chad Biesemeyer, steer wrestling, 13.4 seconds on three; Houston Hutto, calf roping, 26.4 seconds on three; Matt Tyler/Allen Bach, team roping, 18.8 seconds on three; and Tammy Key and Kelly Kaminski, barrel racing, 48.59 seconds on three runs.
Winners from the Wilderness Circuit Finals Rodeo included Kelly Wardell, bareback riding, 248 on three; Craig Smith, steer wrestling, 15.9 seconds on three; Stormy Sagers, saddle bronc riding, 258 on three; Buskin Wilson, bull riding; 250 on three; Kyle Kosoff, calf roping, 32.6 seconds on three; Cody Young/Jason Eiguren, team roping, 22.9 seconds on three; McKenzie Miller, barrel racing, 42.08 seconds on three runs.
