The Kentucky Cup Reining will feature the Nations' Cup competition scheduled for July 21 and the Individual Final scheduled for July 23. A four-star FEI event, the Kentucky Cup Reining offers a similar format to the Games in both Nations' Cup competitions and individual championships. Nations expected to field teams include Brazil, Canada, Dominican Republic, Germany, Great Britain, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Switzerland and the United States. Additionally, many nations are expected to send athletes for the individual competition, including Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, The Netherlands, France, Spain, and Uruguay.
About Kentucky Cup Vaulting From July 30-August 2, the new indoor arena at the Kentucky Horse Park will be the site for the Kentucky Cup Vaulting, an international vaulting competition (CVI) and the official vaulting test event for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. The CVI will bring vaulters from around the world to participate in the event and experience the venue before competing in the world championships in 2010, including medalists from the 2006 World Equestrian Games held in Aachen, Germany. Among others, athletes from South Africa, Argentina, France, and the United States are expected to attend. The Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games are the world championships of eight equestrian disciplines recognized by the Fdration Equestre Internationale (FEI). Her Royal Highness Princess Haya is the current president of the FEI. The Games are held every four years and this will be the first occurrence in the United States. |
