Oklahoma City, OK -- Starting with the year 2013, only four-year-old horses that have been nominated to the NRHA European Nomination Program may compete in the NRHA European Futurity. The program starts with the nomination of the 2009 weanlings. Horses can be nominated at any time, but with additional costs. The nomination fee for weanlings is only 230 , while e.g. yearlings are 1,500 . The deadline of nomination is March 31 of each year (see program conditions for complete details). The money acquired by this program will be used to enhance purses at NRHA European Futurity.
One Payment - Triple Profit
Nominating a horse into the NRHA European Nomination Program not only makes it eligible to enter the NRHA European Futurity, but it also makes it eligible to enter the NRHA US Futurity and NRHA US Derby. If a horse is nominated to the program prior to the 2012 NRHA Futurity in Oklahoma City, it can be entered into the 2012 NRHA Futurity in Oklahoma City, 2013 NRHA European Futurity and the 2013-2015 NRHA Derbies in Oklahoma City. There is only one nomination fee for this. If the horse is sold, it will remain nominated.
Nominator Incentive with 5% payback
Due to the new NRHA European Nomination Program's nominator incentive, nominators will benefit even if they do not own the horse at the time it competes. Five per cent of what the horse earns at the NRHA European Futurity, NRHA US Futurity or NRHA US Derby will be paid back to the nominator.
"The new nomination program is necessary to build a solid platform for future NRHA European Futurities," says NRHA Executive Director Dan Wall. "Horses nominated into our program will be eligible to compete for millions of dollars in prize money. The program offers a lot of advantages for a great price if the horse is entered as a weanling."
