Jordan Donnelly Wins SWRHA Futurity Horse Show Youth 13 & Under

Jordan Donnelly, of Aubrey, Texas, and Chexable have had a busy week at the Southwest Reining Horse Association Futurity Horse Show. On Friday, they competed in an exciting run off for the National Reining Horse Association Non Pro class Championship, earning Reserve, and also earned the Novice Horse Non Pro Reserve Championship.

They returned to the arena for the Youth 13 & Under division, marking a 72 to earn another title, a saddle and a plaque. "He felt really good in his circles. His stops were ok, but I could have been a little better. It was still a really good run," noted Donnelly.

Donnelly purchased Chexable, by Inwhizable and out of Megarita Chex, in April from Tim McQuay. "I really want to thank Tim for selling him to us. This horse is definitely one of my favorites," she said. When asked where her horse excels, she quickly replied, "He is the best at spins, and he is really good with circles. Overall he is really good, but those are his two best areas."

Donnelly was quick to thank her mom, trainer Kim Ferguson. "She has really taught me a lot. I also have to thank my friends and family who came to watch me show."

Emily Winegar, of Aubrey, Texas, earned the Reserve Championship on Shiners Mistress with a 71, and tied for third place with Crome Shiner.

Both horses are owned by Green Valley Ranch. Shiners Mistress is by Shining Spark and out of Missy Lena, while Crome Shiner is by Custom Crome and out of Shining Dancer.
